Body controller (English: body control module, referred to as BCM), also known as body computer, refers to the electronic control unit (ECU) used to control the body electrical system in automotive engineering. It is one of the important components of the car.
Common functions of body controllers include controlling electric windows, electric rearview mirrors, air conditioning, headlights, turn signals, anti-theft locking systems, central locking, defrosting devices, etc. The body controller can be connected to other on-board ECUs through the bus.
